The following are questions WebTools related. Please select the

1. After signing up for a WebTools site, what
exactly will I receive?
Upon processing your application form, Kudo* will send a unique
Username and Password to the e-mail address included in your application
form. You will then be able to enter these directly from the Kudo*
home page to access your web site. No software is currently required
to be downloaded or installed on your machine for you to access
WebTools, however, you will be required to have a recent version
of Internet Explorer (see question 2.).
2. After signing up for a WebTools site, will
I need to purchase any additional software?
No. Kudo* will provide you will all the tools to need to complete
most editing functions to your site. You will require relatively
new web browsing software and will have to use Internet Explorer
when editing your site, but this can be downloaded for FREE from
here: DOWNLOAD
INTERNET EXPLORER.
3. How much will additional WebTools upgrades
cost?
Kudo* is currently planning to bring out two additional variations
to WebTools ~ Brochure. These will be available mid-2003 and will
be an optional upgrade for existing customers as and where required.
Otherwise, all upgrades to W-Brochure at this stage are to be included
in your monthly licensing fee. At the moment, Kudo* is working on
additional editing tools, to allow users even more flexibility in
there page layout.

What sort of hosting package will I need to organise if I get a
WebTools site?
One of the fantastic things Kudo* has done with WebTools is to do
away with hosting altogether! When you get a WebTools site, we build
your site right into the software, so you don't need to pay any
additional fees to host it!
5. So, all up, how much does a WebTools site really cost?
There's nothing tricky about WebTools pricing. If you select a site
design from our portfolio, you pay only NZ$999.00 (+ GST where applicable)
and NZ$25.00 (+GST) each month for the licensing fee!
6. What additional charges could I come across?
Custom Design. Kudo offers several additional options to
WebTools sites. First, you could choose to have your own custom
design set up and inserted into the WebTools system for only NZ$749.00
(+GST) if you provide your own images, or our sales representatives
have a digital camera and can photo some of your stock to use in
the design. If you require additional photo library images, we can
provide these with a site design for only NZ$99.00 (A license for
one image usually costs NZ$485.00 to register! Due to the volume
of images Kudo* purchases, we get a volume discount which we happily
pass on to our customers).
Library Images. When a custom design is required, Kudo*
can provide the images for your site for the fixed price of NZ$99.00
(A license for one image usually costs NZ$485.00 to register! Due
to the volume of images Kudo* purchases, we get a volume discount
which we happily pass on to our customers).
Content Layout. Kudo can design and layout the content in
your site at an hourly rate of NZ$95.00 (+GST).
Support Charges. Although Kudo* have made an effort to make
the software user intuitive, and have backed this up with online
support, you may have questions you wish to talk through with us.

in business hours to work through your query. Each query will incur
a NZ$19.95 (+GST) charge, no matter how many times you need to phone
to sort out your problem. Note: If you are seeking answers to multiple
queries in your phone call, each will be charged at this rate.

7. Is it possible to choose a different design
for my site after it's up and running?
Yes! In fact, you can choose to update your site design anytime
once you're up and running with a WebTools site for only NZ$49.95
(+GST)!! This means you can keep an eye on the WebTools design
portfolio, and should you see any new design's released which
better encompass your business identity, you can simply send the
Kudo design team an email requesting the design you would like
to change to and $49.95 +gst will be added to your monthly invoice.
8. What is Licensing? and what do I get for it?
When Kudo* builds your Web Site, rather than supplying you with
a pile of images which need to be hosted on a remote server somewhere
with Internet access, we insert them into our software, which then
builds your site. In an effort to provide you with the best product
possible, Kudo* has resolved to continue to develop this software,
so you will continually be receiving software and design updates.
Your licensing fee in part pays for this continued development,
which will provide eventually provide you with even better, more
powerful editing tools etc.
9. What's the difference between a 'normal' web
site design and a WebTools design?
Traditionally, Web Design companies would plan for a job, design
the job, optimise the images, build the database, script the HTML
and 'remake' the pages every time they deal with a new client. All
of this taking many hours of time (in complicated jobs, hundreds
of hours of time). These web design companies with their $100+ hourly
rates then have to provide quotes which are the sum of: 'the time
to complete the job x their hourly rate', making the job cost anything
from $5000 - $500,000! (the average cost of a medium sized site
in USA in 2002 was US$52,000!). Obviously, this prices a professional
site right out of the question for the average smaller business.
Kudo* has overcome this with a new model of Web Site, where we've
already completed the expensive background of the site, and now
we only have to 'plug-in' your graphics. Because of this, the otherwise
major costs are being spread between all Kudo* WebTools clients,
making the overall cost to you something you can manage.
The Kudo* WebTools philosophy is "To
make a professional product which best meets your
needs functionally as well as financially!" rather
than the traditional philosophy which was "To make your budget
meet our needs for a professional site"!
10. If after I've paid my application/set-up fee
and I decide the 'timing' isn't quite right to proceed with a WebTools
site, can I get my set-up fee and first month's licensing fees back?
No. As you'll be aware Kudo* will encounter costs every time we
set up a new client, which these fees cover. If you decide at a
later stage you no longer wish to proceed with your site, we will
already have expenses to pay and will be unable to return your initial
payment. If you were getting a Custom Web Site design, and our design
team hasn't begun your design before you decide to cancel your subscription
(Kudo* attempt to turn around custom design's within 2 business
days), you will not be charged for your custom design or any images
you may have been going to use.
11. If I get a WebTools site, can I have my own
e-mail linked to my domain name?
Yes. By default, Kudo* will set up up to five POP (e-mail) accounts
when your domain is transferred to the WebTools software. You
can get additional POP accounts in groups of 5 for NZ$10.00 per
month per 5 POP accounts. To request additional POP accounts,
