WebTools is a user friendly software application system created
for the small to medium sized business, to allow them to have
the same functionality and professional imagery that in the past
has only been available to large corporate businesses with large
corporate budgets.
WebTools provides the client with not only professionally designed
sites, but also a set of powerful tools to keep their sites updated
allowing, minimising or even making redundant future site maintenance
costs!
Pre-WebTools Web Design Model.
Traditionally, web sites were custom built for clients, uploaded
to a remote server and hosted for a client. The web design company
had to then do all the editing on the clients site for them and
maintain the pages by uploading the changes to the remote (web)
server. However, large corporate businesses, with large corporate
budgets could afford editing functionality to their site, utilising
complex database connections and site update pages, at the cost
of $1000's to $10's of thousands of dollars. Kudo* WebTools have
done away with this model of site set-up with it's innovative,
unique WebTools structure.

The WebTools Model.
The WebTools site design is created and inserted into an online
application software system, the client then pays an initial set-up
fee and a nominal monthly licensing fee, which then enables them
to become an active WebTools client. WebTools clients then enter
the WebTools pages using their unique username and password to
set up their site. They begin by choosing the pages they would
like to have in their site (every site has by default a homepage
and contact page ~ sites have up to 8 pages including these two)
and then proceed to the content editing page (see figure 1.0).
Changes are typed directly into the page, images can be uploaded
to the database and formatting tools used to get the page looking
'just right'. The overall page can then be previewed using the
'Preview in Browser' button prior to updating the changes to the
clients database.
All these changes are live, so as soon as the 'Update Database'
button is selected, the clients viewers will see the changes,
avoiding the costly site changes incurred if these changes were
to be completed as traditionally by the web design team.

It's quite simple.
In the following pages are examples of each of the available
WebTools site designs. View through the various categories relevant
to your business (there might be more than one. I.e. A hair salon
might look under the Retail, Trades & Services, Generic or
Cosmetic categories to find a design for their business). When
you've made a choice, select the 'apply now' button (see Figure
1.1) and fill out the WebTools Application Form. If you have an
electronic copy of your business Logo, Kudo* will attempt to process
your application within 24hours, so you're site will be up and
running in 24hours!*
Once you have completed your application form and
your site is up and running, Kudo* will send you a Username and
Password. You will use these to enter into the WebTools software.
Access to the software will be from the log-in field found on
the Kudo* homepage.
Once you have entered the Edit pages you will be
able to begin setting up your site. This process is a simple as
selecting any additional pages you wish to have in your site (you
will already have a home page and a contact page). The order you
select your pages will determine the order the page buttons appear
in your site, this ordering can of course be edited by yourself
at any stage in the future.
Next, you will enter the edit content pages. Simply
select the page you wish to edit from the 'list' and you're away.
You will now be able to type your page content directly into your
site. Use the formatting tools supplied to make your page look
the way you would like and click the 'update database' button
(see Figure 1.0). Continue this process for each of the pages
in your site.... and that's it! It's that simple!
You can of course view your work at any stage by
selecting the 'preview in web browser' button. Logout of the WebTools
pages and you're complete! Now you can view your site online (if
your domain name is up and running.)
(*Initial Site launch dates
will be affected by domain registrations, demand, statutory
holidays,
non-business hours and other unforeseen events.)
